M57. The Ring Nebula

This image has taken me months to complete. Seeing was consistently poor, and the best nights were filled with intermittent clouds.  It is a strange target.  20 sec subs at F10 yield a totally blown target.  For once I am not compelled to collect more data, unless it is to replace the marginal data I have.  Maybe 5 sec subs would suffice.  The ring is visible in 1 sec subs.  I tried making a synthetic luminance from the best subs, but did not see any benefit.  I am pleased the outer shells were picked up a bit, and the nearby spiral structure of galaxy NGC 1296 is discernible.
