Ice Hole Power box

Hey guys, here´s a question:

Im looking for a portable power box for my setup. Recently i bought a Zwo Asi Air Pro, but not the power source for it, because my idea is to have a totally independent system from wall wired power sources, like ive been doing so far.

So, my setup consists of the RainbowAstro RST 135 mount, the Zwo Asi Air Pro, the Zwo 120 mini camera, the modiffied NikonD5300 camera with the normal batteries and a dummy battery, and eventually the dew heaters for the Takahashi FSQ 106 ED and the Qhyccd mini guider scope.

I saw this Ice Hole Power box on youtube, and i was wondering if it could fill all my power needs, if yes, is it possible to find it in Europe, to avoid customs fees, or, is there better options for my setup.

Thanks people 😃

The purpose of beeing a member of a forum, is to share experiences and advice others when they ask for help. I guess that is pointless to be member of something, just because.

So, i will do as always, trial and error. Probably i will through money to the gutter, but, thats life.

Thanks to everyone.........................

Perhaps a little patience may pay off, before such comments. Perhaps also, no one has experience of this power pack. I’ve certainly never heard of them.

I run my RST-135, ASIAIR Pro, guide and main camera, dew heaters etc all from a 24ah Tracer LifPo battery, extremely portable, I can carry the mount in one hand and the battery in the other.

Don't see the point of introducing a QHY camera into the mix as the ASIAIR wont recognise it so you'll have to use a laptop just to run guiding.

Sorry people, i apologize for my comments. Sometimes im a little impatient. It happens also on other foruns that i participate, even if i dont know how to answer, i just say something, just to show that at least someone is watching the post.

My biggest question is related to the camera. How to power the NikonD5300, in order to have power all night, without getting worried about that.

I have yet to try the Asi air pro, so im not sure if i can use the mount, the asi 120 mini camera , two dew heaters connected to the Asi air. And the Nikon? I have the dummy battery, but, as i understand, you need some power source with 7,2v.

Dave, i have the  Qhyccd 5L mono camera, that im using for guiding, but, as soon as i start using the asi air, i will switch that camera for the asi 120 mini, that i also bought.

This Ice Hole Power Box that i mentioned, is only a suggestion, nothing else.

Hi Emanuel, I've used my Canon 60Da with the ASIAIR with a little buck voltage converter I made, a simple DIY project if you're into that sort of thing or there may be a power supply for your camera designed to plug into a car gigarette lighter socket if you do a search.

The Ice Hole power box looks a bit overkill to me.

The ASIAIR works well with DSLR and all other stuff ZWO, it's worth buying the ZWO motor focuser as the autofocus works really nicely.

Yeah, i need to find some kind of solution. I saw this on Astroshop, but its for Canon, not for Nikon.

Shouldn't be hard to convert just replace the Canon dummy battery with a Nikon one.
