Hi this forum has been a fantastic resource for my novice stargazing, and i need to pick some brains again.

My intes micro M603 (cracking scope) since i took i apart and greased the focuser mechanism that was sticking (works great now). A star test reveals a lovely KIDNEY SHAPE! set of rings.

There are three threadlocked screws set in the back behind the mirror, i have found many articals on collimating newtonians but nothing on maks, can i do it or does it need to be sent off, if so where?

Any info will be very helpful as googling it brought up nothing.

It seems to me that some optical part has got pinched. What exactly did you take apart and re assemble? It may also be a misalignment has occurred in the reassembly of the focusing mechanism
