I had a very quick look at the sun this lunchtime after @AdeKing’s lovely sketch post. Managed a quick couple of smartphone shots which came out surprisingly well given the poor seeing.

I’ve added comparisons from SpaceWeatherLive to show which ARs they are. There is also a nice area of faculae which I managed to capture.

Do look, it has been waking up for a little while and is definitely active fairly regularly now.
