AR2817 looking lively

This AR is right on the limb and looks to have just shot up a jet of plasma which is changing quite rapidly. Worth keeping an eye on.

I was looking about an hour ago- looks like someone dropped a Boulder into a lava lake and the splash is following outwards in super-slo-mo

There was a fllare from AR2816 earlier today which hit the Earth’s atmosphere, and was strong enough to knock out short wave radio in some parts of Asia. A CME is predicted to follow, so worth keeping an eye on the main active region.

Superb filament and proms today too.

Doesn’t it just! Very active, just saw a bright flare go off, happened very quickly within a minute or two. The prom has evolved and largely gone now, well worth keeping an eye on.

The large part of the biggest prom now looks like a shark with open mouth, eye and fins 🤣

This AR remained lively through until unpack up. Small jets of plasma shooting out and moving visibly over a short time.
