Thinking about selling my Celestron C8 plus f/6.3 focal reducer but how much is it worth please?

I've deliberated over this for ages but think it might be time to let this go to a new home as I'm simply not using it and it's just sitting in it's box gathering dust which seems such a waste. 

It's been stored for many years and could benefit from a good clean, (which I will not attempt for fear of causing more harm than good). 

There is a small mark on the rear mirror which I've tried to show in the last photo but this does not impact its performance and of course the usual cosmetic wear and tear.

The box states G-8 optical tube assembly but this is a C8 yes?

A Celestron f/6.3 focal reducer is also included.

I know it's worth whatever someone will pay for it but what do you feel would be a good starting price please?

For cared item in a good shape - I'd say that starting point is about %70 of current retail price (one that people can actually get item at - no good if item is out of stock and can't be purchased - but also pay attention that prices might be inflated due to shortage - and many people would rather wait for things to settle down).

It may not be worth as much as you think - SCTs seem not to hold their price well.  I bought a like-new SCT and mount plus a box of valuable accessories all inc. for half the price of a new one.  And yours is some years old.

I would suggest selling the focal reducer separately. Somebody who already has a SCT is likely to want it.

That orange reducer is worth about €120,-   Somehow they like japan made reducers.  The C8 will sell for €650,-   But thats in Euro’s and here in The Netherlands. 😬.  Uk prices are/were much lower.
