The haze held off sufficiently last night to be able to push this one a little more than usual.

Calibration: Siril. Heavy lifting: StarTools 1.7. Niceties: DarkTable.

Thanks for looking and do post if you've had a go at this with a dslr.

700d on gso203: 4 hours @ ISO800

Very nice, with lovely detail. Is that gso scope a newtonian or a RC?

Excellent capture. there is some really nice detail showing in the central dust lane and you have also captured several much fainter fuzzies. Nice star colours too.

Thats a great picture. Love it. What do you do in each of these softwares? I am new to this and I am just learning SIRIL. In fact I posted my first pictures just yesterday in the forum

Lovely image and lots of detail. It's amazing what can be achieved with a non astro camera!

Here's my version also taken with a DSLR from 2 years ago. I've just reprocessed it using ASTAP, SiriL and Photoshop.

28 x 300s, NexStar11, unmodified EOS 550D and no filters.
