Once upon a snowy moonlit night...

Recommended Posts

...the baby woke up, and daddy saw a lovely sight outside.

Fresh fallen snow lit only by moonlight, against a backdrop of stars.

The moon was sinking fast, and with it the shadows, as well as the battery level. A longer exposure only made noise - lots of it - due to low battery.

1. 30 sec. at f/4, ISO 400. 20mm lens, 6.06 am (when the shadows were still nice)

2. 48 sec. at f/3.5, ISO 400, 18mm lens, 7.09 am (when I was awake enough to switch to RAW :( )

Both images have had gentle processing - curves, colour correction, slight sharpening & noise reduction
