This may have been asked at some point. But is there a difference in quality between the Antares and the Celestron or Meade focal reducers?

If you're buying used, avoid the Meade FR unless you really know what to look for.  In the past, there was time when their FRs had optical issues.

The Celestron is a solid bet in the used market.  I've never read of any issues with them.

The Antares will be similar to the Celestron from what I've read.

The Starizona corrector is the one to get if you're very picky about image quality.

If you buy used, look for an older 4-element Celestron from when they were made in Japan.

I compared it with the Meade back then and the Celestron was better in every way--sharpness, contrast, correction, vignetting, etc.

I have not used the newer Chinese-made one.

I have not used the Starizona or the Optec, both of which were a lot more expensive.

"Sorry Squire the record is stuck. Sorry Squire the record is stuck".

This was a common phrase when a vinyl record got scratched which caused repeating. Just like me.lol

What! Like a scratch in an old  vinyl record? Repeating itself.😂
