Venus last night

Taken with an ed120 and imaging source dmk 21. Stacked in registax and tweaked in CS2. Used a X2 barlow. Would have used a X3 but could not get focus . Oh well , more attachments to buy !! Trevor

Yes, very nice Venus "Trevor."

To many mere "mortals" it would just look a "nice" photo, but to those with a little astronomical knowledge, to see Venus hanging there in the blackness of space, is something special indeed.

That is really very nice.

Venus is so hard to do well. I really struggle with Venus, it's an issue with the contrast of venus vs surrounding black sky and that there are no features to aid focusing and lastly (during evening apperitions) the sky is normally boiling away like a good'un...
