Last night weather...

ClearOutside app - 0% cloud 2-4am

metoblue - 0% cloud 2-4am

Cool - get everything setup in conservatory ready to go out. set alarm for 1.50am.

all set for some moon piccies - it will be more or less directly south then - great view from my garden.

1.50am...up! togs on, downstairs, and out into the cold...

Er...

 

Someone appears to have stolen the moon (should be above that house).

total 100% cloud/fog cover. Unusual for the forecasts all to agree and still be so totally and utterly wrong.

was it just Suffolk or the same elsewhere ?

Same here in North Lincolnshire but I cannot remember what clear outside said. The other day clear outside and xc weather were both showing 0% cloud cover all evening and night. Got everything set up in the afternoon for clear outside to change its mind to something like 60% cloud but xc weather still showed 0%. Turned out great and got a good couple of hours of imaging done. Seems like if either app is showing no cloud I am good to go

In Derby CO never seems to be as accurate as the good old BBC forecast. CO said some clearish spells, BBC said mist.

Same here in Cardiff. Clear Outside and MetCheck showing near perfect from 18.00 to 2am, great I think get everything set up and go out at 8pm and oh no! a thin veil of high cloud reflecting a massive amount of LP. So decide to check again at 9pm and getting worse, by 10pm total cloud cover...☹️
