StellaLyra 6" F/12 Classical Cassegrain Telescope OTA

Bought from FLO last October. Selling as have just ordered a 125mm APO and so scope is no longer needed.

Has been upgraded with a Baader Diamond Steeltack RT focuser, a 6x30 RACI finder in a low profile bracket and fitted with a carry handle attached to radius blocks so no modifications or holes drilled in the tube. Have added a second finder shoe. The above upgrades cost aprox £400.00.

The stock Crayford focuser isn’t the best and has a very short travel whereas the Steeltrack is a proper refractor type with plenty of travel.

Perfect for high magnification lunar and planetary observing and imaging

The long focal length classical cassegrain design is perfect for both visual observing and astrophotography on smaller targets such as planets, close-up Lunar, double stars, small nebulae and comets. A fixed position primary mirror eliminates image shift that normally occurs when focusing some other telescope designs.

Three CNC-machined spacer rings are included that provide flex-free focus extension when required. Interior knife edge baffles reduce stray light for maximum contrast. Fitted with a Vixen-style dovetail mounting bar.

  • 153mm (6") optical aperture
  • 1836mm focal length
  • f/12 focal ratio
  • Fixed primary
  • Quartz primary and secondary mirrors
  • Primary mirror: Parabolic primary mirror; minimum 95% reflectivity
  • Secondary mirror: Minimum 95% reflectivity
  • Secondary mirror obstruction: 58mm
  • Multiple knife-edge baffle system
  • Vixen/Synta Style Finder scope base
