Hi

I also use the joystick trigger ball head... but most of the time I use a monopod, sit back in the chair and rest the monopod on the floor  by my feet... It's amazing the stabilising effect it has on my Apollos which are very heavy. I actually prefer the experience far better than using the tripod. Great for travel as well, (not that we can at the moment) 😞

I have Helios LightQuest 16x80s which work well enough on a monopod with ball head and trigger grip, but 25x100 bins are considerably beefier, so I am not sure that they will hold that weight. My Falcon-Eyes pistol grip is listed as suitable for 4 kg load, whereas 25x100 bins can weight in at 4.7 kg.

I used to use a Horizon 8115 for my 20x90 bins. The quick release plate and pan and tilt handle developed a bit of slack/slip.

I then bought a Ravelli pistol grip/ball mount and tripod. Its brilliant. It was a steal at the time. I couldn't resist.
