ZWO EAF 3.1.9 update issue

Hey everyone.

 

I'm having difficulties updating the firmware on the EAF I have. It's connected directly to the laptop via USB, and it's plugged into the mains.

When I open the FW tool it auto detects the EAF and populates as v3.1.3. I click Update and select FW3.1.9.hex.

 

It then does the parse in 0.0s, then the "Device" field empties (no longer says EAF). After about 10 seconds it brings up the error 3.1.9 unable to create handle.

Any ideas how to fix this? I'm having issues with the focuser in the cold weather due to the outdated firmware it would seem

It's a longtime since I've done a firmware update, so I maybe wrong, from memory I believe you have to run the FWUpdater as administrator. If not ask on the ZWO forum.

Yeah I did run as admin. I've been in touch with ZWO and it needs sending back. So it seems a faulty unit
