Its quite deceptive as its a very wide angle lens - that a 1000 foot hill just half a mile away. The trees are the bottom of our garden.

But we cannae travel and I had enjoyed a dram in any case.

We're the same, hills to East of me, hills to the West, hills to the North of me and trees to the South. Just as well this Astro hobby involves looking up! :D

My images were looking North between the hills on either side of Loch Linnhe. When I lived on Lewis it was great, no hills just the sea and loads of wind but great for the Aurora.  I think this was the best show we had in while we were there, it's the only time I've seen the red aurora with the naked eye.
