cable adapter

Recommended Posts

Do you mean female at both ends then?  I haven't come across such a cable or adapter myself, I'd probably consider buying the appropriate DIY sockets along with some suitable wire and make one.  eBay can usually be a good source of such components in smaller quantities (though I usually buy more just because to buy one or two is very expensive per unit).  There might be such an adapter in the form of an audio accessory.

No female Rca To male 2.5/5.5

I have one a female Rca to a 2.1/5.5mm male which works with my power pack but won't fit my battery box I really wanted a solid cable not to fix one up I've done that before but wires kept breaking off very annoying.

Other than that I will get a panel mount socket to fit in my battery box.

That is the best option. Less is more ... (Less connectors is more reliability)

If yuou are going the DIY route, don't buy an audio phono lead and add a 2.5/5.5mm power plug as the cable in the audio lead would not be suitable for the power you need to draw.

One option you can take (particularly if you want to make just an adapter cable)  is to look on eBay/Amazon for something like these:

Then simply solder a decent quality RCA female socket on the end with maybe some sleeving on the centre pin wire to prevent shorting out the power.

Better still may be some of these:
