Thank you so much everyone for the very positive feedback.  I was going through a bit of a lull recently, where I have lots of data on the PC but couldnt be bothered to process it (to avoid disappointment in my processing ability!)

I also think this shows that the older CCDs still have some life left in them, especially for the longer subs in narrowband.

So good, soooo good, so good in Ha alone already. 
I do prefer the one with stars though.

Wonderful!  Please don't degrade the image with false colour!  RGB would make the stars positively enhance the image and show off the reflection nebulosity.  It could turn a wonderful image into a masterpiece!

I agree with Martin, Adam. You already have the base here for a truly great image, it just needs some RGB to make it complete. Keep going!

Ps - I wish I could shoot this. Alas, most of the big winter objects are blocked by trees here 😭
