This is around 1hr of 5 min ISO1600 exposures. Scope was an ED80 guided by a ZS66/DSI. I found this very hard to process as the signal was very faint. I am deffinatly coming round to the modded DSLR idea

pretty good result Craig, yes try not to over do the processing, just alittle overdone in the core ,try and tone it down a tad , hopefully that will show the veins more .but still a goodun.

M1 is not that bright Craig, nor is it big target, so I'd say that's a pretty fair result for an unmodded DSLR, especially at ISO1600, which can be quite noisy.

As Roger says, you've pushed a bit to hard with the core, in processing, but still pretty good.

A tough one Craig without the mod but the filaments are there alright, in fact you've picked up the detail very well for this focal length

Cheers guys, I will have a go at reprocessing tonighht. Might try a false flat and see if that makes a difference.
