Horizon - Jupiter revealed.

This programme was on earlier on BBC 4 and I missed it. It dates back to 2018 and is really interesting.

Good news is it is still available on BBC Iplayer. 

Very interesting and well worth watching if you haven't already seen it.

I think I saw it when it was on originally but I recorded it and re-watched it earlier today. It's well worth seeing even though Horizon has moved into the "let's get a half-hour of material and stretch it to an hour program, with waffle and irrelevant footage" modern style.

I know exactly what you mean and I hate it when programmes do that. I guess the accountants have been at work figuring out the optimum relationship between production costs and revenue from broadcasting.

 

...but I'm still going to watch it.

You learn to tolerate it, since it's inescapable nowadays but yes, it's still very much a good watch. It remains a cut above a lot of the other pap around.

I know well what you mean. I was sort of mentally shouting at the TV at one or two parts, the one bit about Jupiter's core especially.

Plus the bit with a scientist wandering in wellies around a vast water tank, whilst waving a torch around - which is somehow related to whether Jupiter has water or not?

It is getting over here you either pay for a program by watching the commercials, or pay for a service like Netflix or Disney and not see the commercials.

I've watched every program or series that I can find and the ones that lean more to the scientific side are better than the ones put on by professionals. 

The idea of diamond rain, wouldn't that make the diamond people on Earth have nightmares?😖

Yeah, just the small matter of getting 20000 miles deep into Jupiter, grabbing the diamonds and getting back out again 😝
