Venus at 17:54 this evening taken through a WO Megrez 72 APO on a Celestron SLT mount with a Celestron Neximage at 15 fps set to BW. TAL 2X barlow and Atik IR block filter together with an Orion No. 80a blue filter. 702 frames stacked in Registax. Post processed in Paintshop Pro X.

Yes, I agree. The image in the actual AVI was really quite dim; I had turned gain, brightness and contrast down during capture with K3CCDTools. It seems that stacking in Registax brightened the image to an unacceptable level. I've had another go with the AVI, this time limiting the image to 70 odd frames and reducing brightness and contrast in Registax. I think I might go back to my previous method of using both a lunar filter and Badder Contrast Booster filter as I seemed to get better results that way judging by my first attempt.
