NGC2174 or SH2-252 - C9.25 + 350D

Rog's ( Celescope) recent image of a Sharpless object SH2-261 got me interested in having look at others in area of Orion. The one below is near the Orion/Gemini border. Unfortunately sky conditions quickly got worse after I started imaging so I had to stop.I had to push the processing but it turned out quite nice but needs more subs to reduce the noise.

9 X 4mins , C9.25 at F6.3 , Canon 350D at 800 ISO

Well thats turned out really nice John , detail is spot on, love it , the ole Monkey Nebula , great stuff Johm , nice to see you back imaging again

The sky conditions would not take 5 mins with the 350D. But with better conditions 15 or 20 subs at 5mins should produce a better result. I hope to have a colour CCD camera soon - If Bern ever gets any in stock ( not Berns fault but the camera is not available yet )
