what alternative DSLR control apps are there?

I have another thread on a related subject, DSLR Focus does not work with Vista but I thought I would start a new thread as some folks may not read that one if they dont use Vista!

Anyway what other apps are out there that can control a Canon DSLR, I use(d) DSLR Focus for focusing and taking sequences of shots.

I use DSLRShutter to control the expsures of the Canon, but this won't do the focusing.

If they dont run in Vista mode you should be able to run in an XP comparability window.

The easiest option tho is dump the pile of poo called Vista and install XP Pro :laughing2:

I don't think so Craig. Besides on my camera (300D) downloading RAW's via USB1.1 is pointless - I save to the card...

I dont mind saving to the card but I like to see the image onscreen to allow me to focus. Looks like I may have to XP/Vista dual booting

TJ uses the software that comes with the camera. I think it's called Zoom Browser EX or simething like that.
