Psychobilly
I had my first foray in to f10 imaging with the 8" lastnight whilst M1 stacked without issues B33 and NGC1977 images won't stack nicely in DSS ... Is it because of the low score caused by having very few stars in the images ..Just wondered if anyone has any tips in the mean time its IAEFRTFM....Billy... Tim
You can manually identify the stars of course. But also, have you altered the star detection threshold? Doing so makes a dramatic difference to stars found, but watch out for noise, so use the median filter to help.Of course, you could always stack them in Registar......... Psychobilly
indeed but would have to covert loads of Raw files to Tiff's first....
dph1nm
You can manually identify the stars of course. How? I have never managed to get DSS to do this. I know you can identify a comet centre with shift-mouse click, but the same thing doesn't seem to work in star-editing mode.NigelM
Les Tilly
I had the same problem, and I did what TJ said and reduced the star detection threshold as per the guy who made the program then it stacked OK
