Celestron Circle V - 2" 32mm Erfle.

Pixies

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Have just taken possession of this EP. I realise that it won't be suitable for my fast scope, but thought it might be worth hanging on to.

Any pictures of old Celestron or Vixen 2" Erfle look a different to this. I can find similar looking Celestron Erfles, but they are 1.25"

Any knowledgeable folk out there able to share some info on this EP?

Vixen made a lot of stuff for Celestron in the past. Scopes, eyepieces and mounts.

Way back I owned and used the Celestron 1.25" 32mm Erfle (also circle V).

There was a short bodied version of the 2 inch Erfle as well:

Many of todays low cost super wide eyepieces are derived from the erfle design.

I'd hang on to it Pixies. It's a classic!

Originally  Aimed @ the SCT market  ie f10 i'd assume.

Johns' Vixen pic looks  exactly like a celestron badged one i used to own. I sold it when i got a 2" 32mm Konig, which personally  i prefered.

Bought quite a lot of ep's over the years & sold a few also,I mostly regret selling the ones i did.
