Hi my name is John, and I have been into astronomy for around 40 years. I have a 4.5" Newt sat under my bed and due to light problems here it has not moved for four and a half years :)

The same goes for the astrophotography, but the radio astronomy works 24/7 what ever the weather......... Nice to be in a friendly forum... :venus:

Hi.John.

Welcome John,

It's a shame about your poor skies, and that poor little scope consigned to a place under your bed :)

Nice to hear you are into Radio Astronomy though, I don't we have many on SGL doing that.

A couple of reports on your 'observations'? would be very interesting. When you have settled in of course.

Ron. :)

Hi John, and welcome to SGL.

I think that you are our first Radio Astronomer. We have a few Radio Amateurs ( I'm G3***), but to the best of my knowledge, no radio astronomers.

Will be most interested to hear any input that you have, on this branch of amateur astronomy.

Dave
