Tripod mount

have my old tripod from my old reflector scope. I also have a Skywatcher Startravel 102 GOTO. I want to have an option of manually 'driving' it. As I already have what I think is a pretty stable tripod, I was going to buy a Vixen Porta II Mount AND tripod. Thinking about it, why not get a separate AltAz mount and use it on my tripod. I would like the Vixen Porta II mount but cannot find one anywhere, I found a Skywatcher AZ5 Deluxe AZ Mount but do not know much about it and whether either one would fit my tripod. If anyone could advise me as to a suitable mount It would be appreciated.

P.S. The outside diameter of the 'Hole' is about 9.7cm, and the inside about 6cm. The bolt is 3/8".

Uploaded pics of the top of my tripod.

Thanks

Brian

I'm a bit late to the party with this one. But I have the AZ5 attached to the steel leg version of tripod you've shown. I use it for a Startravel 102 and Skymax 127.

I had to take a hacksaw to the north alignment peg (although you can buy an adaptor plate for around £40 for a more professional look). I also had to get a new bolt as the one in my tripod was an M10. The AZ5 is a 3/8th so you should be fine.
