Another quick one (just 1 hour) from last night's clear sky.

NGC2244 The Rosette.

12x300s with SXVF-H9C and 80mm Triplet.

Oooops!!, a bit of a problem here!!

AA4 has incorrectly saved my 16bit image and an 8 bit, thus destroying half of the data, hence the very mottled image.

I'll leave it 'posted' though' as an example of what not to do .

Ok, here it is with the missing 8 bits, making it a 16 bit version, as it was captured.

If you compare the two, the difference should be pretty eviident .

Still only an hour's worth though.

The OSC has nicely captured the difference in colour towards the centre. Good work Dave and naughty AstroArt

The colours were 'juggled' Martin, as the Hutech IDAS filter adds a magenta cast unfortunately, so it was a 'colour balancing' job.

Also, as I now know, there was light leaking into the camera.
