Flame Nebula and Alnitak

Clear night, but not much for me to go for, not done this one for a few years, so its another for the folder.

after 10 years or so imaging , i,m finding it hard to drag myself out , what i want now i think is some really wide field images , like Eddie does, so maybe that will get the juices running again.

So maybe have achange of ccds, but for now ,here is the Flame

Super flame Rog, nice resolution in the dusty areas. Have you thought about doing a bit of scientific stuff - photometry and so on?

I like Alnitak cos it shows the teeny weeny snowman's head (Alnitak's dim secondary)

Well stick at it as I really enjoy seeing them... if you have clear skies tonight make the most of them clouded out here already tonight finished focussing up the 50mm on the 1000D and then got 3x15s shots off

The Flame is a wonderful nebula in itself shaped like a sycamore leaf with a lovely golden colour deserves single attention. Great result. JohnH.
