Noise reduction software

I've been using Picture Code's Noise Ninja since I started DSO imaging. I've always thought that it gave great results. Pleased that it's the recommended NR software in the test.

I use both Noise Ninja & NeatImage depending on how bad the noise is, my preference is NeatImage

I use Neatimage and apply it to a duplicate layer which I can then adjust the opacity of for more control, and burn through to the layer underneath so that only the areas that need noise reduction are affected.

Noel's tools (not the one reviewed is here) does and excellent job, especially the deep sky action.

Dont forget that there is a new kid on the block, eminently suited to astrophotography, as it differentiates between edges very effectively.
