Pacman's got the Munchies

Recommended Posts

Here's my latest effort, NGC-281 The Pacman Nebula.

At approximately 9200 light years away it's quite a large beastie covering around 40 arcmins. It was discovered by E. E. Barnard way back in 1883.

Total integration time was 900 minutes even split between Ha, Oiii and Sii.

All processed in Pixinsight.

Thanks for all the likes and comments, have been considering adding RGB stars but not sure if its necessary.

Anyone think it might improve ? or just leave it alone as its good as is.

Great work Mark. I'd never noticed that black part before and your imaging/processing has really brought it out. Did you use the 115 for the image?

Leave the image as it is BTW.
