Mars Rotation

Recommended Posts

This short animation is made up of 5 images taken on 22nd Sep at approx. 15 minute intervals, spanning 1 hour.

Equipment - Celestron C11 working at f/20, and ZWO ASI174MM.

It would be interesting and fun to try and go for a longer duration if the clouds and seeing play nicely :)

Great sequence - I'm horrified at how quickly Mars seems to rotate in subsequent images. An evening to master WinJupos definitely required.

Yes, I have WinJupos, but have not looked at it yet! I hear it's a great program though

Thats a lovely sequence I have got to try to do one of these sometime.

Thanks. Yeah I'm keen to have a proper go at a longer animation sequence, but haven't had a decent night since I took this one!
