Saw that in the news and thought that if ever a job had my name on it, that was it! I would imagine it would be great for astronomy - not exactly going to suffer from much light pollution!

Awesome. I mentioned this to the wife this pm-she questioned where the kids would attend school-not too chuffed when I explained it be more of" a sabbatical for "one", c ya in 6 mnths will e-mail often"

I'd use the old travel broadens the mind answer to cover the children's education. You have to send in a video, along with a written application, and the position only lasts for 6 months. Still, I'd be prepared to make sacrifices for the experience!
