16.08.2020 A couple of snaps of the SE disturbance.

Early start but speckled cloud and then the thermal wobbles delayed things.
Changed to Noise Robust 3 instead of 2 in SharpCap. Autostakkert. It helps to match the seeing.
Pushing much harder in ImPPG for more impact when images are posted online.
2x GPC [instead of 2.6x] for a bigger window and less wobbling on the disturbance.

Hi Geoff,

We have been "suffering" an extended heatwave [28-30+C/ high 80s-90F] with little cloud for shade and zero rain.
The solar seeing conditions have often been poor. With lots of thermal wobbling, glazing and defocusing.

What's this about "Live Stacking?"

That’s a pretty cool Summers day out here in Oz.

I arranged to extend the control cables to the mount to be able to sit in the “office” while solar imaging. Much better than the ol’ ten year grey bin and dark sheet.

Perhaps I ought to start reading manuals, but why waste a habit of a lifetime

Last time I managed to see the sun, was over a week ago. I need to move house!

Some nice close up detail there, any activity is so welcome. Cycle 25 maybe be here, but old Sol is still pretty quite compared to a few years back.
