In Devon I went to the website for reporting streetlights and requested that two be shielded because I was an active amature astronomer. Guy came in day's asked which way I'd like them shielded, job done and now I need a torch to walk to the observatory, lol.

Wow a massive difference! Our offensive lamp has broken for the first time, around full moon typically. 🙄

I won't be reporting it's faulty. The garden is almost proper dark now. 😁

When it was the sodium light it was out for nearly 12 months it was brilliant then, they came and fixed it I got on to them got this horrible rude man who said you you would be complaining if you where robbed, I said well its been off for 12 months nothing happened yet I would take my chances plus most of my neighbours have security lights well he wasnt happy. This new bloke totally different could not help me enough and now although there is a light its a massive difference just need a clear night now.
