Camera for my Daystar Solar scout

Hi, I have been using a ASI 120 mm for my solar stuff ( using a day star solar scout ), but this camera is my guide camera and with the coming DSO season just around the corner Im looking for  a camera to use with my solar scout and may be double as my planet cam with my SW 127 MAK. After a bit of research I have got it down to 2 possible camers.  

ASI 178mm

ASI 290mm

Does anybody have any recomendations for either or anything else in the same price bracket ( £350  )

The 178 looks excellent for planetary. For solar, I remember reading about some banding problem, though (may be mitigated if you do jitter).

Scratch that comment, I had the 183 in my mind (still confusing all these types)

Did you get the 183 if so any recommendations and photos?

Any other recommendations for a mono camera, the 183 is a bit expensive for me

Hi,

The 183 would give you just about the full disk, maybe you can search for a used one ?

I have a Rising Tech IMX178 color, with a 0,5x "EL Cheapo" 1,25" reducer i also can fit the full disk, but i'm not liking that camera very much, could be the pour software/driver support of course.

So your best bet would be the 290MM i think.
