I decided to make the jump from skychart today as it doesn't seem to be updated any more and was looking at SkySafari so this was very timely! Thanks....

I couldn't quiet see the need for the pro version (I usually just use these apps to confirm what I'm looking at with my eyes ) so I went with the Plus version for just over £6

The plus version is great for the observing list feature alone.

I also like how you can add the FOV circles for your scope/EP combinations, Telrad circles, etc.

Plus is excellent and enough for most needs. I have Pro, no need really I just enjoy trawling the extra star and DSO databases. The equipment lists and ability to display FOV circles for any combination is really useful.

I should have probably mentioned that I only opt for the Plus version as well which is very palatable at £6.

I keep getting prompted to upgrade from the SkySafari 4+ version I’m using.  Does anyone know what the 6-series has over the 4, which, by the way, I think is brilliant and a fine complement to using Interstellarum in the field.
