..I notice they have changed the cap - they didn't used to look like that!

That's a good point. The cap on this 10mm Delos looks like the one that TV use on the 2 inch Powermate.

In the past they used a hybrid cap on their eyepieces - 2 inch one side and a touch more on the other to accommodate the eye cup.

Perhaps they have moved over to the Powermate type caps now ?

Thanks for the comments Guys. Yeah all my other caps from televue are black with the company moniker embossed on the bottom.

Looks like even TV are looking at cutting costs.

This beautifully crafted item arrived in the post today. All part of the gearing up for Mars season.

Apologies if it’s started to rain....

Looks like it would give you a hernia, just trying to lift it off the table!😲

The Delos are not too bad - the 10mm weighs 408 grams / .90 lb

They are quite tall though especially as the focal length gets shorter. In some circles I've seen them nicknamed "turkey legs" !

The new caps are VASTLY superior--they stay on.  The older 2-sided caps slowly creep off the eyepieces.

I does make a surprising difference to the overall balance of the set up. I am also paranoid it going to drop out of the diagonal due to the height of the new OTA. I keep checking the tightness 😊
