I'm back!

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

After years away doing other things (my other hobbies include having an allotment, and being involved in amateur dramatics) I am turning my attention back to astronomy.

This is not least because we are in the middle of moving out of London to the relatively dark skies of Dorset - the middle of Covid lockdown not being the easiest time to be trying to buy and sell a house....!

Anyway, I'm going to feel very much a beginner again when I get out there for the first time, making almost as many mistakes as I did when I first started!

Clear skies to you all!

Jim

Welcome back into the fold Jim,
Dorset move, now that sounds good.
Not the first on SGL to make that move either.

Welcome back Jim, certain aspects of our hobby have moved on with technology, but the beauty of the night sky is still there for all. I hope the darker skies of Dorset are rewarding.

Shaun

Welcome to the West Country, having made the same move nearly 30 years ago, you won't regret it.

Clear skies.

Welcome back to the hobby, enjoy the darker skies. I moved last November to darker skies, brilliant, you can't count the stars.

Hi, Jim, and welcome from another Dorsetian (unfortunately the light-polluted end!). There are some really nice dark sites around Crossways.

Enjoy the journey.
