Imaging Mercury is pretty easy in my book depending on how elongated  from the Sun it is.

I remember my first time imaging Mercury with my dedicated set back in 8th February 2020.

Even though the seeing conditions are terrible but the phase stands out best enough.

I stacked 30 percent of over 5000 frames to get best results from a 3 minute exposure length.

Softwares used:

SharpCap, Autostakkert2!, Registax V6, Photoshop CC 2019

Equipment used:

Celestron Nexstar 127 SLT, ZWO ASI120MC-S, GSO 3X Barlow

(I didn't use an ADC for Mercury because it made it harder to find and it moves away from the FOV when I try to adjust the knobs.)

I will be waiting for Mercury to go into it's greatest eastern elongation on June 4th!
