Meade scope ID ?

Hi People

How do you date a meade scope , I have noticed some have blue tubes , also seen a white tube model

What type of Meade scope ? - they have lots of models. The old ones were made in the USA but they have also used manufacturers from Mexico and in recent years mostly the far east.

Electronics, faceplate, setting circles, drive systems, have altered over the years.

I have owned a 10" SCT and also a LX90 , done Kelling heath 3 times , Just dont want to buy a old pup of a scope

Just cut it in half and count the rings

On a more serious note tho meade did do the LX200 16” fork mounted sct cassagrain in a white OTA and the 8” LX range were also in white on the Meade equatorial mountings.however most Meade telescopes from the Meade LX3 LX5 LX6 LX50 LX90 LX200 LX600 to my knowledge has always been in the Meade blue with there fork mounted telescopes
