Phases of Venus

Recommended Posts

I thought I would put together what I could from the images I’ve taken recently. Typically for me these were completely unplanned and I used different scopes and magnifications for each I think. I’ve tried to orient and size them so they match the simulations and it works quite well. Taken in 7th April, 5th May and 15th May. I think the middle one was through the Telementor so is lower quality. Next time around I’ll plan it better and use a consistent setup.

What software is that you are using?

That was SkySafari 6 Pro, very good app for iPhone and Android. The Plus version is very comprehensive too, and they do regular 50% off offers which are worth waiting for.

Stu, my initial look was followed by Coffee splutter and how the heck did he get images like that.....
then I realised it was computer graphic as I scrolled down.

Made me look as I am putting together a Venus Observing talk for my club at the minute, so anything Venus grabs my attention.
Well it does anyway, but more so than ever at present.
