Facebook Live Video screenshots - Moon and Venus

I tried to share this content before but I think I need to do it as a public broadcast next time so people outside my group can see it. I’ve been doing a few live broadcasts on FB recently which have been working well, with members of our little club logging in Live or after the event.
 

These are a range of screen shots to show roughly how it looked; if anything the video was better than this as you were getting the moments of good seeing (as well as bad!)

Last night was quite wobbly, but even so the Mewlon did quite well, these were mainly at x271 if I recall correctly, using a Leica Zoom and Celestron NeXYZ adaptor.

I did try to use the Fonemate with a 24mm Panoptic but the geometric distortion (rectilinear???) was very bad, distorting the moon severely towards the field stop so I chose not to use that.

These Moon shots are all unprocessed screenshots of the video replaying. The Venus shot is a screenshot from another video but cropped and processed a little.

This sort of broadcast works really well and I enjoy doing them. The guys are able to post comments and questions that I can answer live, plus help me out with crater ID.

I think a night of excellent seeing would give some cracking results. Regardless, Schröter’s Valley looked good last night, significantly better visually than in the image.
