Helix Nebula

Another bunch of data pulled out of the past to keep me occupied.....reworked my 2017 data on the Helix Nebula. I have pulled the old one off my web site....this improved version is there now. There is higher resolution on my web site..... but this one is probably big enough.

Yes that's beautiful, but like @Erling G-P this one never gets high enough for me to have a crack at from home...

I notice (on Telescopius) that Carole has done this from Olly's place in France - plug for Olly 😉.

I am further South  - in Spain - but even so it does not get very high in the sky here either.

Yeah well I've long wished for a visit to Les Granges so when this pandemic is over I should make it happen a bag a few of those targets that are too low for me...

That's a great image. I must have a look at iTelescope and make a plan to image this myself

I highly recommend it. If only for the countryside. Beautiful place to visit IMHO. Ollys scopes are a dream and Olly's not a bad chap either
