Venus, 250 Dob, ZWO 178MC

Thought I would have a crack at Venus with my Dob (no tracking), I believe this is referred to as "lucky imaging" ?

2x barlow on the 178MC. I allowed the planet to drift through the field of view and captured 200-300 frames using ASI Cap.  I repeated this until I had around 3000 frames made up across many individual AVI files.

I joined the AVI's together then used PIPP (best 2000 frames), AS, Registax and Paint.net to produce the final image.

I was quite surprised at how it came out, and was a fun thing to do.

Nice result! I got a similar view with my Skymax 150. I want to go out again soon and capture the crescent thinning!
