New ioptron cem 70?

Anyone know of the new cem 70 about to be released..not sure if this is a hoax,  they guy that sent me the info says shipping as from 1st may, presumably from China

And USB 3.0 as well. Why include both USB 2.0 and 3.0? Perhap somebody might need 2.0.

And pictures show the same - USB3.0 is blue color coded - only right mount shows blue ports.

I get the impression that the CEM70 has USB2 and no guider or wifi whilst the CEM70G has USB3, a guider and wifi.

I am a bit lost as to why anyone bothers with USB2 on new kit these days though.  I'd probably prefer USB3, no guider and I'm not really fussed either way about wifi.

Does it say if it will use those spring loaded knobs t control the RA and DEC, similar to the CEM25 & CRM60, or will it use simple clutches like the CEM40 and CEM120?

I can’t be sure from the product images?

Not enough info in the pdf. Answers some questions but leaes a lot unanswered..

It is in stock in China but not yet on any website so hopefully more info and pictures will be available before much longer.

Likely it's a smaller cem120. So cem120 style.

This is like a cem60 refresh. Not exactly ground shaking but I suppose it was necessary at some point.

I had a look

looks like the vanilla CEM70 is 16,000 and the CEM70G, or as they call it, Guide Star CEM70, is 18,800. 
that’s £1800 and £2100

also, that tripod looks like it was photoshopped onto the mount.

Agreed, wide at the top and very narrow base. 
 

Possibly it’s just a final prototype and the production model will have a wider base?
