Hi I went out this early evening to see if Saturn and Jupiter were observable but the clouds dominated this area.
The Moon however was in a very clear area so I used my MeadeETX90 with a bino viewer with two 25mm eyepieces and spent some time viewing it.
The views were really good as the Moon was in the first quarter which is when I feel is one of the best times to view it as it is not to bright.
The shadows that were being cast were amazing but once again the clouds rolled in so until the next time??

Hello everyone!
These are my first DSO photos. Also, this is the second time I've used Adobe Photoshop.😁
My purpose for this thread is to share with you my first try and to gather constructive feedback, to help me improve my skills (use of equipment, stacking, image processing, etc.)

Hi everyone,
I am thinking about buying a Celestron Nexstar 6se to use for astrophotography at a very beginner level. I am thinking about using a ZWO ASI224MC as it seems a good option. I have a few questions about how to setup/use it - here they are:
1.) Do you just screw it on where the eyepiece is usually at?
2.) Do you just have the cable going to a computer where you have stacking spect where that stacks the photos it takes?
3.) Does it automatically take photos of planets and DSO’s?
4.) Does it need any filters to get color on nebulae as those are they primary things I want to photograph
Thats all, as you can see I am a beginner to astrophotography and just want to know how to use the camera to take decent pictures.
Thanks all

Hi guys,
I am a newbie on this forum, this is my first topic here but I would like to show you my recent planetary imaging results. I started to catch the planets with a dedicated planetary camera last month but never thought that a small 4" Maksutov can show such small details. The equpment I used:
SW 102/1300 Maksutov 2.25x Q-turret Barlow lens QHY5L-II color camera EQ-3 GOTO mount All the images were taken on differend countrysides in Hungary. I hope you will like it
Also, please share your images taken with similar OTA, I'd like to learn some tricks from others as well
Jupiter's 15 minutes of rotation. Captured with Firecapture, processed in AS!3, Registax and WinJUPOS (2020.08.21)
Saturn, 1 hours stacked with AS!3, processed in Registax (2020.09.05)
Mars, 3 hours of rotation. Captured with Firecapture, stacked with AS!3, processed in Registax. (2020.08.22)
Mars again, 5 minutes stacked in AS!3, processed in Registax. You can see also Olympus Mons and Arsia Mons next to the terminator (2020.09.05)
Finally, a result of a Hungarian star party where I learned how to use properly my equipment This time I borrowed an ADC for Saturn.
