The Rosette Nebula

Recommended Posts

Well I've stacked both nights data and made an attempt at processing it. Sooo much to learn about the processing side of things. I think I'm happy with this but it doesn't pop quite as much as I would like and I can't help but feel there is a lot more data in there to be drawn out. Have had a bit of trouble controlling noise which doesn't help with being able to boost things. Any processing tips gratefully received (using DSS and Photoshop CC)

Thanks, I used a Canon eos600 astro modified, no filters just a baader mpc mk3 on to the SW 130pds. I think it's about 3hrs total and was over 2 consecutive nights.

The more I look at it the more I think it could be better, I need to play with the setting for gradient removal a bit more as I think there is still some gradient mushing out the detail. Not bad as a first processing attempt on this target though.
