Cant open Starnet++ Help please...

Hi all,

 

I have downloaded and unzipped Starnet++ to my windows 10 PC. When I try to open it, either with my own images or the sample image included, I get the message ' The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)'.

I have tried disabling the anti virus but it makes no difference... Graphics drivers are up to date. Anyone have any suggestions that might help?

Unfortunately, the result is the same message i.e. ' The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)'. Anyone got any other ideas? I have installed it correctly, followed the instructions for two ways of launching (Dropping file onto app and editing batch file) but still get the same message.

Found the problem... my CPU processor is too old for starnet++, a bit like me...

i Have the same problem.......      does anyone with win10 able to load and run it?????   How do you tell it what and where is the image to work on??????

Not sure on Windows, but on Linux Starnet++ is just a folder with the executable and some libraries. We put the image we want to work on into the folder, run Starnet, and move the original and the new imagefiles elsewhere afterwards.

i found the .bat file in the extracted folder.   Still getting the same error.    How did you know your pc is too old to run this????

just sharing how I got starnet++ to run within  Siril 1.2.0 GUI win11

extract the latest command line starnet all files to your local windows PC folder of choice

run Siril, open an image file, Siril preferences / miscellaneous under software location set starnet to the startnet++.exe in your local starnetcli folder just extracted above and Apply, now under Image Processing / star processing / starnet star removal should be ok
