Voyager
Well i should of took notice of the comments made about this company, and avoided it. I ordered a camera adapter and T ring + a 4mm Plossl eyepiece on ebay from these. The item came yesterday morning, there was a T ring and a 10mm Plossl eyepiece in the jiffy, wrong eyepiece and no adapter. So i emailed them, after waitng all day, they finally got back to me, stating they would look into it and get back to me on the 29th Dec. First time i've delt with them, and the last. :x
Zaphod_B
Hmmm, interesting.I've not dealt with Telescope Planet but I was looking at an eBay item that they had recently - a camera adapter and T-ring (for £29 I think) plus delivery (is this the item that you're also talking about?). When I looked at their website there was no delivery charge. Suspecting that they had added a delivery charge to cover their PayPal and/or listing fees, I telephoned them. They didn't seem at all bothered that the items on eBay had a delivery charge whilst ordering direct, they didn't. Needless to say, I wasn't too impressed with that answer!Zaphod
Voyager
Yes that's the item, thought it was good value, can't understand why they still got 98.9% postitive in their ebay rating, shocking!
Zaphod_B
Yes I was tempted then thought about checking their website to see what the item cost there and what shipping charges (if any) there were. When I found out that buying direct incurred no shipping charges, I phoned them up to query this.To say that they couldn't care less is a mild understatement! They basically said that I could either order from them direct (and have no shipping charges) or buy off their eBay site when the shipping charges would stay.Obviously, their "shipping charge" is to cover the PayPal and selling/listing fees!Z
