While taking my six year old grandaughter home last night she spotted venus shining brilliantly. Looking at me she asked, "Grandad, is that the star that the 3 wise men followed to find baby Jesus ?" MY EYES FILLED WITH THE SWEET INNOCENT EXPRESSION ON HER FACE. "Darling" I said, "We all have our own star to follow and one day you will find yours"...............Can I borrow your telescope then ???

Hmmm, according to the account, didnt the 'star' lead the astrologers to Herod, leading directly to his decree to kill all infant male children under the age of two? Sounds like the kind of star you could do without tbh!!!

I love this time of year especially when Venus is shining bright in the evening. I am always being asked if it's the "Star".
